Blindconnect is a nonprofit organization that provides information, services, and support to Nevada's blind and low-vision community.

Their premier program, Angela's House, is Nevada’s only blindness skills training center where students learn to live independently with access to services, education, and recreation.

"Inside this space," one supporter wrote, "Participants don’t just receive training in daily living skills, cane travel, Braille, self-care, self-advocacy, self-defense, and recently blind parenting support from mentors and teachers who also happen to be blind. Angela’s House provides a place of connection and compassion during their weekly blindness support group meetings for current participants, past graduates, and blind people in the community."

A recent participant stated, "Angela’s House is a truly amazing place that has helped me and hundreds more not only feel less alone but encouraged to get out into the community and be the best we can be."

Blindconnect was presented with a Dr. Jacob Bolotin Award July 12, 2019. Read more about the 2019 Dr. Jacob Bolotin Award recipients
